Summer Update

It has been a busy summer for the Holden Ag Society board! We started off with Beaver County 4-H Cattle shows in April including District. Thank you to James and Angie, Holden Fire Department and Holden Crop Management for helping clean out the dirt from the arena!

Farmer’s Day was a busy day as always and we were thankful to have so many volunteers that day. We also hosted a ball tournament that day, which was a big hit as was the Farmers Market. We even live streamed the first playoff hockey game in the Beer garden. Too bad the weather did not cooperate.

We hosted Farm Safety for Holden Rural Academy and Ryley School. A big thank you to ATCO, Alberta 1st Call, Fish and Wildlife for their support that day.

Winter is on the way and so is our ice planning! Ice should be in Sept 28/29 so we will be looking for volunteers to help out. 🙂 We are also painting the old dressing rooms to give them a fresh look this year. We have a couple more teams using our space, so the ice will be busy – which is awesome!
